Seymour resident Katrina "Kat" Hardwick will be conducting another drive-thru event to collect signatures of registered voters in order to get her name on the ballot as an independent candidate for District 69 state representative.

She and her supporters will be at North Vernon City Park in the parking area off Franklin Street near the playground from 5 to 7 p.m. today.

By signing the petition, people are not casting a vote for Hardwick, just giving their approval for her to run in the general election in November.

They have until June 30 to collect more than 400 signatures.
