NORTH VERNON

Mrs. Marlyin Sue Terry, 82, of North Vernon, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jennings County to the late Newell B. and Ella M. (Mackey) Carr.

Due to Covid-19 gathering restrictions, private family funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday, June 12 at 1:00 p.m. Private family visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Masks are mandatory within the funeral home.

Private family burial will follow at Cana Cemetery

On November 18, 1961, in Uniontown, Marlyin married Melvin Terry; he preceded her in death on December 10, 2009. Marlyin was a member of Seymour Community Church of God. She was employed with Jay’s Market for 20 years. She also worked for Dairy Mart/Convenient Store for 6 years. She was a foster grandma at Seymour Redding School for 4 years.

Marlyin is survived by her children, David Earl (Maggie) Terry, Pamela S. Diaz, Rebecca (Tim) Richards; grandchildren, Breanna and Chastity Terry, Brittany Martsolf, Michael Allen Carr, Annie and Jenny Lasby, Johnny and Marcus Garrett; great-grandchildren, Jaxton Allen-Lee Terry, Gram Michael Mitchell, Nicholas Andrew Barriger, Ava Krishauna Jackson, Kairi Anastasia Jackson; brothers, Eddie (Caroline) Carr, Max (Corinne) Carr; and sister-in-law Rita Carr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Michael Carr; brothers, David Carr, Harold Carr, John Carr, Ben Carr; sisters, Joy Faye Carr, Ella Pickron, Betty Engelking.
