SEYMOUR

John R. Allman, 91 of Seymour passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at his residence in Lake Placid, Florida. Born August 2, 1928 in Fort Ritner, Indiana he was the son of Raymond V. Sr. and Maudie Ethel (Brewer) Allman.

John was a member of the American Legion and VFW, he served in the Korean War for the United States Army. He loved his family and the Cincinnati Reds and enjoyed hunting, fishing, travelling and being outdoors. He loved people and people loved him, he never met a stranger. John will be remembered for being sociable and helping anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Wanda (Brooks) Allman; his daughters, Janet Marie Belding (Dana) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Julian Ann Allman of Seymour; his brother, Clyde Allman (Elaine) of Seymour; his four grandchildren, Joel Belding, Beth Ann Stowall, Eric Belding and Jade Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Shea Davers, Mason Belding, Madison Belding, John Belding, Joshua Belding, Alana Belding and Aurora Belding.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Helen Marie Hahn; his brother, Raymond Allman Jr. and his grandson, Julian Scott Davers.

Brother Tim Weddell will conduct funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Burial will follow at the Dixon Chapel Cemetery. Services will be lived streamed on Woodlawn Family Funeral Facebook page for those who cannot attend.
