Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups plan to gather virtually to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more.

Books are available to borrow using the online platforms hoopla or Libby or curbside delivery at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries.

The Tuesday Night Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. June 9 and discuss their book in Zoom. Information services manager Janet Hensen will lead the review of “The Keeper of Lost Things” by Ruth Hogan. Register at myjclibrary.org/events to be sent an invitation to this program.

Use Zoom from a computer (zoom.us) or download the free app Zoom Cloud Meetings on a phone or tablet from the app store. An email is required for participants to receive a login to the program. If participants do not have an email, they should call 812-523-4636 to request the login.

Book reviews by library staff will be posted on the library’s Facebook page at 6 p.m. June 17; 11 a.m. June 19; and 5:30 p.m. June 22. Videos are posted with a link to the library’s YouTube channel, which can be accessed at any time.

A new virtual book discussion group will be available for teens and adults through Facebook. Join Book It! at facebook.com/groups/3085051588218685 for health tips, to share recipes or your run and discuss a book through a Facebook event on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Information services clerk Hillary Pacheco will post to the group several times weekly and facilitate the online discussion of "We Told Six Lies" by Victoria Scott on June 23.
