Mrs. Carolyn E. Prewitt, 84, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Lutheran Community Home. She was born in Jennings County to the late Adam and Laura (Carr) Sandhage.

Private family graveside services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 2 at Four Corners Cemetery.

On October 17, 1955, at Four Corners, Indiana, Carolyn married Frank Edward Prewitt. Carolyn was a devoted and involved member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She graduated from Hayden High School and then attended business school.

Once her children were of school age, she worked as an administrative assistant at Ben Franklin. Carolyn loved reading, especially Danielle Steele novels and family gatherings around the holidays.

Carolyn was the most loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 64 years; daughter, Lisa (Doug) Cline; sons, James (Crystal) Prewitt, Andrew (Anita) Prewitt, Craig (Stephanie) Prewitt; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; siblings, Martha Sandhage Porter and Charles (Coralie) Sandhage.

Memorials may be written to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or Lutheran Community Home Memory Care Unit, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
