Volunteers, projects sought for Day of Caring

0

Due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 24th annual Day of Caring that was scheduled for May 12 has been moved to Sept. 11.

Jackson County United Way currently is recruiting volunteers to help with projects all over Jackson County, from planting flowers to cleaning out gutters.

Volunteers can be in teams and will be assigned a project based on interests to the best of United Way’s ability. Volunteers’ health and safety is of top priority, and United Way will adhere to social distancing guidelines set by the state and local government at that time.

Anyone interested in volunteering may fill out the form online at jacsy.org/volunteersignupform.

If you or someone you know is in need of a project, fill out the project request form online at jacsy.org/projectrequest. Projects must be outside and comply with United Way’s guidelines. Volunteers cannot build ramps or work on roofs.
