Letter: Letter to the editor Linda McCormick

To the editor:

The United States Constitution and state constitutions established a system of divided and limited governmental power, and they did so to secure the blessings of liberty to all people in our country.

This letter is in regards to State Rep Jim Lucas. I have always seen him as an honest, honorable, hardworking person of integrity. In my view, Rep. Lucas has represented this district well, working to “secure the blessings of liberty”.

After seeing all the “piling on” for his Facebook posting, I have been praying that he will stand strong!

I don’t believe for a minute that he is racist.

It is no secret that our country’s Judeo-Christian culture is being attacked by those holding a corrupt, conniving and Godless leftist ideology.

Solzhenitsyn warned us that our culture and nation would be attacked by people who either knowingly are trying to destroy our culture and nation or are well meaning “useful idiots” (those perceived as propagandizing for a cause without fully comprehending the cause’s goals, and who are cynically used by the cause’s leaders).

I don’t believe Jim Lucas has a deceitful bone in his body. This is very refreshing after watching so many smooth-talking RINOS (Republicans-in-Name-Only) who, after saying ALL the right things to get elected, once elected betray our trust.

Many of these RINOS have also “piled on.” They are traitors who have sold-out to the highest bidder and/or to their blackmailers. They claimed to support the Republican platform but their actions have shown otherwise. (Heaven forbid that the Democrat’s communist platform/agenda would be implemented … that would be the end of any freedoms we have left.)

I am waiting to see if all these same people say something about former Vice President Joe Biden’s “If you vote for Trump you ain’t Black” comment the other day. Time after time Democrats make racist statements and they are given a pass, so I will not be holding my breath.

Most people aren’t interested in politics because it is a very dirty, disgusting business, so it takes a lot of courage for good people to go against all the corruption.

I pray that God will continue to raise up strong leaders, like Rep. Jim Lucas, who will work to “secure the blessings of liberty” so we can live in peace.
