Colts to open at Jacksonville

Tickets for Indianapolis Colts home games went on sale Friday after the National Football League released the 2020 schedule.

After a four-game exhibition season, the Colts will open the regular season Sept. 13 on the road at Jacksonville. Indianapolis meets the Minnesota Vikings Sept. 20 in the home opener at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Other home games prior to an Oct. 25 bye are against the New York Jets on Sept. 27 and Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 18.

The remaining home games pit the Colts against Baltimore on Nov. 8, Green Bay on Nov. 22, Tennessee on Nov. 29, Houston on Dec. 19 or 20 and Jacksonville on Jan. 3.

Besides the Jacksonville opener, the Colts’ road games are at Chicago on Oct. 4, Cleveland on Oct. 11, Detroit on Nov. 1, Tennessee on Nov. 12, Houston on Dec. 6, Las Vegas on Dec. 13 and Pittsburgh on Dec. 27. This is the first season the Raiders will be representing Las Vegas after moving from Oakland.

The Super Bowl is scheduled for Feb. 7, 2021, in Tampa, Florida.

The Colts and the NFL added this message to the schedule announcement connected to ticket sales with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic: “The NFL is preparing to play the 2020 season as scheduled and with increased protocols and safety measures in place. The league will be prepared to make adjustments as necessary in order to conduct games in as safe and efficient a manner as possible based on the latest advice of medical and public health officials and in full compliance with current and future regulations.”

The Colts are not featured on Monday Night Football all season, though the Nov. 12 game at Tennessee is a Thursday night contest.
