Race sponsorships benefit local COVID-19 relief effort

The Tri Kappa March Mad Dash scheduled for March 28 was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The sorority chose to donate sponsorship money raised for the race, which totaled $3,800, to the Jackson County United Way’s COVID-19 campaign to help those in need in the community, said Holly Coates, chairwoman of the race.

Elite Eight sponsors were Jackson County Dental and Conner-Smith Eye Center. Sweet Sixteen sponsors were Garcia Family Dental, Family Drug, Skaggs Builders, Dr. Tammy Hiester-Stout DDS, Schneck Medical Center, Integrity Mortgage Group (P.J. In the Dance sponsors were Klaes Chiropractic Clinic, Exist Salon and Spa, Beatty Insurance, King’s Trucking and Excavation, Laurilyn Farms, Knights of Columbus Council 1252, Dr. Jason Stuckwisch DDS and JCB.
