MEDORA

Leo Reynolds of Medora passed away peacefully at home on April 16,2020, he was 86 years old. Leo entered this life on December 21, 1933 in Medora, Indiana to Willard and Georgia (Cockerham) Reynolds. Leo attended Medora and Clearsprings Schools.

Leo married the love of his life, Beverly C. (Kelley) Reynolds on July 22, 1976 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Medora with Pastor Jack Belk officiating. This was a blessed union with 40 years of happiness, until Bev’s passing on October 21,2016. Leo was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family.

He loved going fishing, tending to his garden, solving puzzles, watching IU basketball, and going on vacations. Leo was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Leo worked in timber most of his life. He was a timber buyer by trade and would go out in the woods in his spare time and haul in wood.

He is survived by his children: Diana Johnson and her husband Steve of North Vernon. Phyllis Riggle and her husband Charley of Rooachdale and Cindy Snyder of Vallonia; a son Monty Reynolds and his wife Judie of Whiteland, a daughter Rhonda Hien and her husband Mark of Medora. 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, and a sister Doris Wheeler of Seymour, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beverly, a sister Mary Magalene Stepp, and two brothers Henry Reynolds and Don Reynolds, and two sons, Gary Reynolds and Jim Reynolds.

A private graveside service will be held at Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery on Monday April 20, 2020 with Pastor Jack Belk officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions mandated by the CDC and the State of Indiana, and social distancing, friends may pay their respects to the family without exiting their cars, by driving by the main gate of Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery on Monday from 11:00-1:00 p.m.
