NORTH VERNON

Mr. Timothy Oakley, 68, of North Vernon, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at home. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late William Howard and Cleda Mae (Colwell) Oakley.

Graveside services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Riverview Cemetery on Friday, March 27 at 2:30 p.m. with nephew William Guffey officiating.

On March 23, 1974, Timothy married Violet Guffey; she survives. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Timothy retired from the Indiana State Highway Department after 41 years of service. He loved his wife and family.

Timothy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Violet Oakley; brother, Howard (Birdinia) Oakley; sisters, Anna Lett, Vivian (Bill) Hatfield as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David Oakley.
