The Jackson County Clerk’s Office announced Monday it will remain open despite widespread concerns over COVID-19 or coronavirus.

While the office will remain open, people are encouraged to conduct business by mail if at all possible, including requesting absentee ballots, which can be done until April 23.

The office also announced it will be making changes as necessary to ensure the health and safety of voters and poll workers as the primary election approaches May 5.
