CROTHERSVILLE
Sharon Kay (Owen) Langdon, 80, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour, IN. She was born on Thursday, December 28, 1939 in Seymour, IN, the daughter of Howard Owen and Ruth (Bogey) Owen, who are both deceased.
On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 1957 in Dupont, IN, Sharon married Robert “Nute” Langdon, who survives in Crothersville, IN. They enjoyed 62 years together.
Sharon was a 1957 Paris Crossing High school graduate. She worked at the Shirt Factory right after graduating from high school, then was employed at Cummins Filter Plant, and retired from the Crothersville Library after working there for 23 years. She was a member of Crothersville United Methodist Church, enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, working in her beautiful manicured yard and flower gardens, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and most of all Sharon loved being with her family.
Surviving are her 2 children, Tony (Sue) Langdon of Crothersville, IN and Sheila (DeWayne) White of Austin, IN, 4 grandchildren, Tyler (Ashlee Campbell) Stallings of Scottsburg, IN, Julian (Ashley) Stallings of Austin, IN, Brady (Addison Brasher) White of Austin, IN, and Bethany Langdon of Crothersville, IN, 5 great grandchildren, Maddy Stallings, Harper Stallings, Delaney Stallings, Aiden Campbell, and Maceigh Campbell. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Langdon, great grandson, Jayce Stallings, siblings, Gordan Owen, Jimmy Owen, Dennis Owen, and Elsie Wheeler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, IN with burial to follow at Crothersville Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 PM and after 10:00 a.m. on Friday all at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville.
