The Friends and Neighbors Extension Homemakers Club met Feb. 25 at the Boys and Girls Club of Seymour.
Hostess Pegi Bricker introduced Ryon Wheeler, the club’s executive director, who gave a short history of the club.
Kendra Harris, the club’s program director, conducted a tour of the facility and explained the many activities conducted daily. She said the club serves 150 to 175 kids each day.
Bricker said there is always a need for volunteers to help at the club. She served homemade cookies to the group.
The next Friends and Neighbors meeting will be at 1 p.m. March 24 at Cornerstone Community Church in Seymour.
