Everett Junior Taylor, 66, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:03 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born February 15, 1954, in Seymour, he was the son of John and Carol Joy (Hall) Taylor. He married Dalene (Jordan) Taylor on July 3, 1981, in North Vernon; she survives.

Everett was a 1972 graduate of Jennings County High School. He retired in 2012 from Eco-Pak, in Seymour, as a machinist. He also worked at the former Harley Bag and Union Camp. He was a former member of Hayden Baptist Church. Everett enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and taking trips to Canada.

Survivors include his wife, Dalene; son, Skyler Taylor of North Vernon; daughter, Heather (Nathan) Hall of North Vernon; brother, Johnny (Patty) Taylor of Hayden; sister, Carolyn Sue (David) Winship of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Hayley Hall of North Vernon, Hadlee Johns of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Carol Joy Taylor.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon, with Rev. Jeff Mullins officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Hayden Cemetery in Hayden.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
