The Loyal Devoir Society of Central Christian Church in Seymour met Feb. 25.

President Janice Brock called the group of 16 members and spouses to order for the 109th anniversary dinner. She thanked Lois Gueder and her committee for the arrangements.

The tables featured white tablecloths with red, white and blue streamers and vases with flowers in a Presidents Day theme.

Lucy Dembek gave devotions and talked about how important religion and morality were for presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. She closed with prayer before the meal.

After the meal, Brock said a request had been made by Neil Gardner for a video camera and accessories. A motion was made and seconded to purchase them, and it was approved.

The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction.

Brock divided everyone into two groups and played the game Gossip before dismissal.
