Seymour residents part of TSA state championship team

Xander Good and Collin Kinney, both high school seniors from Seymour, represented the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities at the Technology Student Association competition Feb. 29 at Purdue University in West Lafayette.

They were joined by teammates Izzy Hilderbrand, Nate Johnson, Shivali Singireddy and Kylie Wagaman and adviser Susie Cunningham.

Kinney, Good and Hilderbrand won the Tech Bowl after a highly competitive final round. The Indiana Academy also won the chapter award.

In other events, the two-person team of Good and Johnson placed first in coding and Kinney and Hilderbrand earned third.

Singireddy received third in the essay in technology portion, and Wagaman earned third in the presentation category.

The Indiana Academy team won the state championship and will participate in the National TSA competition in June in Nashville, Tennessee.
