Jennings County Sheriff’s Department officers arrested a Commiskey woman after they said they found her walking down the middle of State Road 3 in Vernon Township.
Sgt. Mike Mowery and Deputy Ian McPherson responded to the area, where they found the woman, later identified as Sarah M. Darnell, 35, walking, said Chief Deputy Dave Turner.
Darnell told police she was walking to a cousin’s house in Lovett Township, Turner said.
While talking to Darnell, they discovered she had methamphetamine, syringes, prescription pills and paraphernalia, Turner said.
Darnell was arrested on preliminary felony charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe and violation of the Legend Drug Act and a misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia, Turner said.
Darnell’s bond at the Jennings County Jail was set at $3,155.
