Program created to refer National Guard candidates

The adjutant general of Indiana has created a new program for individuals to refer candidates for enlistment to the Indiana National Guard.

Now, any citizen 18 or older is eligible to receive compensation for providing the name and contact information of a person who goes on to enlist in either the Army National Guard or Air National Guard.

Those who participate in the program can receive up to $500 for each candidate referred. For most enlistments, $250 is paid once the referred recruit signs his or her contract, and the remaining $250 is paid once the referred recruit completes the initial entry training. Although, payment structure may vary based upon the service contract of the recruit.
