ELKHART

Mr. Lance Dwayne Smith, 62, formerly of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital. Lance was born in 1957 in Seymour to the late Bill Smith and Wanda Sue Findley. Lance married Kimberly Sue Fosbrink on September 23, 1988 in Louisville, KY.

Lance served in the United States Navy. Lance loved his family and grandchildren, enjoying every moment he got to spend with them. Lance also enjoyed getting out and fishing any chance he got.

Lance is survived by his wife; children, Rebecca (Jason) Kleber, Casey (Matt) Miller, Brandon (Shannon) Smith, Curt (Elizabeth) Fosbrink; brother, Bill Smith; 9 grandchildren; Stepfather, Glenn “Buck” Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Terri Clevenger; Stepmother, Nancy Smith.

Funeral services will be handled by Voss & Sons Funeral Service be on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Voss Chapel at 1 p.m. with Pastor Johnnie Spivey officiating. Family and friends may call at 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Voss Chapel.

Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
