Children invited to ‘Wizard of Oz’ character breakfast


The Brownstown Central Choir Boosters invites children to "The Wizard of Oz" character breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the cafeteria at Brownstown Central High School, 500 N. Elm St.

Tickets to the event, which is for youth up to eighth grade, are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. That includes breakfast, a gift and a photo with characters. Attendees should bring their own camera.

Breakfast-only tickets for adults are $5.

The high school choral department’s production of "The Wizard of Oz" is at 7 p.m. March 12 and 13 and 5 p.m. March 14 in the auditorium. Doors open an hour before each performance.

Tickets are $10. Children in kindergarten and up must purchase a ticket. Younger than kindergarten if occupying a seat must have a ticket.

Tickets for the breakfast and the shows are available in advance from any principal cast member, The Peoples Bank, Family Drug or Azteca Mexican Restaurant. For reserved seating for the show, contact Stephanie Brock at 812-358-3453.
