Cheryle Anne Temple Underwood, 74, of Vallonia, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of the Haleysburg Nazarene Church. She was a CNA and a Restorative Aide at the Hoosier Christian Village and retired after 21 years of employment. Cheryle enjoyed the game show network, loved spending time with her family and attending family reunions.

She was born on August 10, 1945 in Medora, IN to the late Albert & Regina McClintock Temple. On October 20, 1962, she married George Lee Underwood and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2012.

Survivors include 3 sons, Michael (Darci) Underwood-Vallonia, Scoey (Amy) Underwood-Brownstown, & Jeremy (Gloria) Underwood-Vallonia; a daughter-in-law, Regina Underwood-Vallonia; grandchildren, Autumn (Dennis) Hauff, Nikki (Terry) Hunnicutt, David Underwood, Josh (Mallery) Underwood, Eamon Shaw, Mairi Shaw, Cheyenne Underwood, & Haley Underwood; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Sheila) Temple-Portageville, MO, & Dennis (Kendra) Temple-Brownstown; sisters, Wanda (Robert) Stabler-Joliet, IL, Charlotte Brewer-Sparksville, Becky (Tom) Davidson-Medora, & Teresa Temple-Portageville, MO.

Cheryle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-Greg Underwood, daughter-in-law-Rhonda Underwood, brother-Jim Temple, and a sister-Susie Huffman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Haleysburg Nazarene Church with Matt Roberts officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, February 18th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Church on Wednesday. Burial will take place at the White River Valley Cemetery, Medora. Memorial contributions may be given to the Haleysburg Nazarene Church.
