Regional basketball tickets on sale

Tickets for this Saturday’s girls basketball Greencastle regional will be on sale in the Brownstown Central High School athletics office today.

Office hours are 8 a.m. to noon.

Tickets are $10.

Single-game and full-season tickets for the West Washington regional featuring Trinity Lutheran will also be on sale at the Trinity Lutheran High School athletics office.

Single-game tickets are $8 while full-season tickets are $10 and are available today from 8:20 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

The Braves will face Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 10 a.m. while the Cougars take on Loogootee at noon.

Seymour resident to be honored by IHSAA

Seymour resident, and IHSAA swim official, Edward Jones will be honored by the IHSAA with the 2020 Interscholastic Athletic Official Award during this weekend’s girls swim state finals.

Jones has been a licensed IHSAA swimming official for 22 years and has worked 25 boys and girls sectionals, 10 regionals and seven state finals events.

He has also served as an IHSAA Clinician for five years and was also a USA Swimming official.
