Mr. Jerry Lee “Smoke” Lucas, 59, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by his family and caregiving team led by his niece Amanda Lucas. He was born in Seymour to the late Charles and Nora (Niewedde) Lucas.

Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 12 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Allman officiating.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 12 from 4-7 p.m.

He had been a truck driver for Rose Acre Farms. He loved watching NASCAR and was an avid Tony Stewart fan.

Jerry is survived by his children, Joshua Lucas, Jerry Lucas Jr., Dustin Young; 5 grandchildren; brother, Marvin Dale (Terry) Lucas; sisters, Patty (Stretch) Wineinger, Penny Devoll; sisters in law, Garnett Lucas, Nancy Lucas, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Lucas, Charles Russell Lucas; sister, Peggy Jo Strong; and brother in law, Ron Strong.
