VALLONIA

Terry Lee Grider, 66, of Vallonia, died at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North. He had been ill for 5 years. Terry graduated from Brownstown Central High School in 1972.

He was a member of Vallonia Christian Church, past president of Ft. Vallonia Days/Committee member, & a 30 year member of the Driftwood Volunteer Fire Department. Terry was retired from Cummins Engine Company after 42 years of employment. He loved rabbit hunting, camping with family and friends, NASCAR, & Brownstown Central Athletics.

Terry was born on December 14, 1953 in Seymour, IN to the late Carl & Elizabeth Taskey Grider.

On September 21, 1974 in Brownstown, IN, he married Mary Lou Nuss Grider and she survives in Vallonia.

Other survivors include 3 daughters, Renee Stidam of Vallonia, Jeanne (Craig) Pollert & Gretchen Booher both of Seymour; grandchildren, Leah & Griffin Stidam, Lizzie Pollert, Lanie, Lucy, & Lennon Booher; brother, Donnie (Sarah) Grider of Brownstown; sisters, Anita (Roland) Sturgeon of Salem, Sharon (Doug) Nuss of Brownstown; sisters-in-law, Rosie Grider & Peggy Grider.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws–Bob & Marilyn Nuss, brothers-Sam & Lloyd Grider, & sister-in-law-Mona Grider.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vallonia Christian Church with Jay Grider officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, February 4th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Hoosier Christian Village or the Brownstown Central Christian Athletes (Shed 4 You).
