SEYMOUR

Mr. Paul A. Hecker, 92, of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020. He was born in 1927 in New Brighton, PA to the late Merritt L. and Viola (Elak) Hecker.

On September 25, 1954, he married Dollymae Daman. He was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Beaver Falls, PA since 1963. He enjoyed being with his wife and taking care of his family at their home in Darlington, PA, where they lived for 55 years till moving to Seymour, IN in 2016. Paul also enjoyed amateur radio, fishing and camping, and woodworking. He was a former scout master for many years. Paul retired in 1985 from working in the laboratory at Babcock and Wilcox in Beaver Falls, PA. Paul was a veteran, serving during World War II. He enlisted in the Army and was apart of the Army Air Corps. He then was Honorably Discharged from the Air Force.

He is survived by his children, Paul D. Hecker, Donna (Rev. Andrew) Currao; grandchildren, Hannah (Clayton) Klosterman, Emily (Nick) Nehrt, and Abigail Currao; Great-grandchildren, Evelyn Nehrt, Amos Klosterman; brother, Eddy Hecker and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Larry Hecker; sister, Lucille Robinson.

Family and friends may call locally at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, January 27 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Then at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2679 Darlington Rd., Beaver Falls, PA on Thursday, January 30, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 30 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church at 1 p.m., with Rev. Eric Ash officiating.

Burial will follow at Grand View Cemetery, Beaver Falls with full military graveside rites.
