Seymour man arrested for dealing narcotics

A Seymour man faces three felony charges of drug dealing after a 10-month investigation led to his arrest.

Matthew Alan Strong, 29, was charged with three counts of dealing a Schedule III narcotic, all Level 5 felonies, Thursday.

Members of the Seymour Police Department said they started investigating Strong for drug dealing in March 2019.

Police arrested Strong and transported him to the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 11:30 a.m. Thursday after attempting to make a purchase.

Upon conviction, a Level 5 felony is punishable between one and six years with an advisory sentence of three years. In addition, the person may be fined up to $10,000.
