Mr. William E. “Bill” Dailey, 88, of Seymour, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. He was born in Cortland to the late Arthur and Opal (Meadors) Dailey.

Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 25 at 10:00 a.m. with Revs. Andrew Currao and Joseph Barlau officiating.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. On February 9, 1952, Bill married Betty Stewart Dailey and they were married until her death on April 22, 1979. On April 5, 1980, Bill married Agnes Percival Dailey; she survives.

Bill served in the Air Force and was a cryptographer in Greenland and at the Pentagon. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping. Bill was strong in his Christian faith and brought light and joy to everyone he met.

Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Agnes Dailey; children, Bill (Linda) Dailey, Penny (Dan) Johnson, Mark (Sharon) Percival, Kris (Bill) Knott, Julie (Roger) Wehrkamp, Jenny Watson; grandchildren, Shawn (Natalie) Dailey, Jordan (Lisa) Dailey, Cassandra (Robert) Willis, Amberlee (Jared) Johnson, Bethany (Danny) Lewis, Candace (Alex) DeWitt, Danika Johnson, Eliana Johnson, Kandle Hall, Jeremiah (Brittany) Percival, Karen Isaacs, Bill (Suzy) Knott, John (Kenyahna) Knott, Libby (Jason Enrique) Followell, Wendy (Grover) Mellencamp, Nathan Watson; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Fern Engle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty Dailey; brothers, Robert Dailey, Lewis Dailey; and sister, Marietta Hazelett.

Memorials may be written to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Don & Dana Myers Cancer Center or Hospice of Schneck Medical Center, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
