Mary R. (Oles) Rigsby, 79, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away at 7:32 p.m. on January 12, 2020 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN.

Mary was born on Monday, October 7, 1940 in Scottsburg, IN. She was the daughter of William Ivan Oles who survives in Underwood, IN.

On Saturday, February 27, 1960 at the First Baptist Church in Henryville, IN, she married the love of her life, Raymond “Ray” Rigsby who survives in Indianapolis, IN.

Mary was an Interior Design graduate of Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC. She retired from Nolting’s in Crothersville as the Assistant Manager, then owned and operated Draperies by Design in Summersville, SC. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crothersville. Mary enjoyed baking, sewing, working puzzles, reading, playing euchre and board games with her family. She loved to renovate and remodel her home. She was extremely talented and had an eye for interior design.

Other survivors include three children, Michele (Chris) Douglas of Indianapolis, IN, Michael (Sharon) Rigsby of Indianapolis, IN, and Melissa (Dan) Sheehan of West Dundee, IL, 4 grandchildren, Joshua Todd (Brittany Garriott) Douglas, Eric Michael Rigsby, Meg Mackenzie Douglas, and Cole Tyler Rigsby, 1 great grandson, Cooper Julian, and 1 brother, Leon (Marlene) Kirkpatrick of Lexington, IN.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Todd Rigsby(June 22, 1996) stepmother, Margaret Oles, 2 brothers, William Oles and Don Kirkpatrick.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, IN with graveside services to follow the funeral service at Crothersville Cemetery as the sun goes down per Mary’s request.

Friends may visit on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., and on January 18, 2020 from 1:30 p.m. till 3:30 p.m. at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, IN. Online condolences can be given to the family at www.AdamsFuneralHomeOnline.com
