The American Sewing Guild neighborhood group will meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Bartholomew County REMC, 169 Deaver Road, Columbus.

Each monthly meeting focuses on learning a new sewing or creative skill or group sewing on philanthropic sewing projects.

January’s program will be a demonstration about creating a portable pressing mat/iron carrier and a car seat poncho that will make it easier for parents and grandparents to keep children warm in their car seats this winter.

Bring your interest in sewing and your latest project to show and tell.
