Chris Baker to be inducted into BCHS HoF

Former Brownstown Central golf standout and current PGA Tour pro will be inducted into the Brownstown Central High School Hall of Fame on Saturday night.

The induction ceremony will take place in between the junior varsity and varsity boys basketball games. The Braves host Mitchell with the JV game starting at 6 p.m.

Baker, who earned his PGA Tour card earlier this year, will be staying after the ceremony to sign autographs for anyone interested. Fans may bring any golf items (hats, shirts, golf balls) for Baker to sign during this time. 

Seymour Youth Wrestling League coming soon

The Seymour Youth Wrestling League starts up on Jan. 6 and ends on March 7 and is open to any child in kindergarten through fifth grade. 

Registration is available online at www.seymourowlswrestling.com and sign-ups are open during the SYWL parent meeting on Jan. 6 in the Seymour High School Commons. Walk-ups are welcome.

Costs for kindergartners and first graders is $80 and they will practice on Wednesdays. Registration costs for second through fifth graders is $95 and they will practice on Mondays and Tuesdays. 

Meets for all grades will take place on Thursdays.
