The Hayden Historical Museum recently published a 105 page cookbook entitled: “Hayden’s Favorite Recipes Through the Generations.”

The cookbook contains approximately 180 recipes, most of which were selected from six of the old Hayden and Spencer Township cookbooks that are in the museum library’s collection. Other submitted recipes are also included.

As you turn the pages of the book, you’ll see the names of those who have shared their favorite dishes, many of which appear as they did on their original recipe cards in their own handwriting.

Also included are advertisements just as they appeared in some of the old cookbooks. 

The cookbooks are available for $20 and can be picked up at the museum from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays or 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
