laCour-Higgins wedding announcement

Dr. Lucy Taft laCour and Jonathan Patrick Logan Higgins, both of Tacoma, Washington, were married at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at Richwood on the River followed by a reception. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Scott Hookey, minister of Madison Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Linda Hobbs laCour of Madison. Her grandparents are Maurice Hobbs and the late Earl Hobbs Jr. of Brownstown. Logan is the son of John and Allison Higgins.

Matron of honor was Dr. Kimberly Warner of Madison. Bridesmaids were Jeanette Kohrumel of Los Angeles, California, Julia Hudgens-Haney of Dallas, Texas, Megan Metsgar of Lubbock, Texas, Katherine Dixon of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Sarah Alexander of Lexington, Kentucky.

Best man was Dr. Ryan Higgins, brother of the groom, of Indianapolis, while groomsmen were Gunner laCour, brother of the bride, of East Berne, New York, Dr. Andrew Bachman of Boston, Massachusetts, Kyle Oliver of Madison and John Zarse of Fort Wayne.

Program attendants were Kyra laCour, cousin of the bride, of Goffstown, New Hampshire, and Kaiyah Norris, niece of the groom, of Bloomington.

Lucy received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was captain of the gymnastics team. She received a Master of Arts from the University of Georgia and the University of Missouri. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri. She is a psychologist with Magellan Federal, working at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma.

Logan is a graduate of the Purdue University School of Engineering and is employed by Omax Corp. in Kent, Washington.
