Area volleyball players earn honors

The Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association released their all-districts teams on Monday night.

Several Jackson County players were honored with many of the state champion Braves and state runner-up Cougars making up the teams.

In Class 3A: Keeli Darlage, Kendra McCory, Riley Nuss, Reagan Nuss and Kayla Guthrie were all named to the All-Central District team. 

In Class A: Kennedy Hoffman, Sydney Jaynes, Bailey Reynolds and Hannah Sabotin all made the All-South District team. 

Sipe named RSC setter of the week once again

Former Seymour Owl setter Hannah Sipe earned the River States Conference Setter of the Week honor for the third time this season.

She helped lead IU Southeast to a 2-0 record last week with 63 assists against Asbury and 50 against Midway. She currently rankes fourth in the conference in assists per set (9.0).
