Tigers celebrate successful fall season

Last week, the Crothersville Tigers held their fall banquet for their cross country and volleyball athletes. 

Cross country coach Carl Bowman recognized the boys cross country team and awarded Carson Farmer with the team’s mental attitude award winner. Andrew Stainbrook received the most improved award and David Rose was recognized as the team’s most valuable runner.

Rose was also earned recognition for making the Southern Athletic all-conference team and qualifying for regional and semistate. 

He also awarded the mental attitude award for the girls’ team to Ella Plasse and the most improved runner to Kiarra Lakens. Kaylyn Holman was named the team’s most valuable runner.

She, too, also received special recognized for making all-conference and qualifying for regional and semistate. 

Fellow runner Grace Wilson was also recognized for making all-conference. 

Bowman noted this was the first year both a boy and a girl runner qualified for semistate for Crothersville.

Varsity volleyball coach Carley Blevins awarded Kennadi Lakens the serve receive award,Makayla Helt for serves and setting and Rebekah Cook for hits and the mental attitude award. 

Junior varsity coach Rita Cook gave Karley Gillis the serving award and Jerrica Barren the serve receive award.
