What’s behind your decision to run?

I am a proud lifelong resident of Seymour. I believe my background, skills and experience would enable me to excel in this position and give back to the community.

What are your qualifications?

I have more than 26 years of payroll and accounting experience, past small business ownership as well as my current position of 14 years overseeing payroll and accounting functions for 29 stores throughout Indiana and Kentucky.

What is the role of the clerk-treasurer position when it comes to conducting the city’s business?

The clerk-treasurer is responsible for the minutes of the city council and the board of public works meetings. This office is also responsible to keep records of all ordinances, retain the city seal, licensing and collecting license fees for various endeavors, take care of payroll and records of city employees, oversee the operation of the sanitation utility office and invest any monies that are received. All financial records of the city are kept by the clerk-treasurer’s office, and their office complies with the state board of accounts requirements.
