Braves’ tennis ends year with awards ceremony

The 2019 Brownstown Central boys tennis season officially came to a close Tuesday night.

Third-year coach Mitch Taylor thanked all the players and parents for helping the Braves have another successful year and passed out plenty of awards and varsity letters.

Several players earned their first varsity letters including seniors Kelian East and Trent Luedeman. Also earning their first varsity letters were: Ethan Isaacs, Ethan Davis and Griffin Stidam.

Earning his third varsity letter was Reece Carlin while Cole Shasteen earned his second. 

Taylor spoke highly of his two seniors, East and Luedeman,  nothing their play on the court this year, willingness to be coachable and thinking about the team before themselves.

Luedeman earned the Braves’ mental attitude award while East was named the most valuable player.

No. 1 singles player, Isaacs, was named the team’s most improved.
