The National Weather Service in Indianapolis issued a special weather statement Monday morning.

The service has tracked a strong thunderstorm capable of producing pea-sized hail and winds in excess of 30 miles per hour. The advisory is until 11 a.m.

The storm is nine miles south of Seymour and moving northeast at 45 miles per hour.

The locations that could be impacted include Seymour, Crothersville, North Vernon, Vernon, Hayden, Paris Crossing and Country Squire Lakes.

The weather service said the storm could intensify and that residents should monitor the storm.
