To the editor … and great true Brownstown football fans:

Anyone that braved the hurricane wild weather, cold wind, rain, etc. to watch the best game of the year — a championship game in the open stadium — is a true supporter.

Everyone involved in the game from the little cheerleaders with a T-shirt and shorts to the ball boys, reserves, officials, coaches, assistants and fans; they deserve the "championship win and homecoming."

When your feet and hands went numb clapping your hands and stomping on the bleachers revived them.

After more than 80 years, I found out the meaning of a "fair weather fan."

Good luck and God be with you to everyone involved in sports.

Thom "Methuselah" Scott, Brownstown
