SEYMOUR, INDIANA

Connie Sue Rose, 64 of Seymour passed away at Schneck Medical Center on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. She was born February 13, 1955 in Seymour, Indiana to Warren Dale and Ruth Brand Weasner. She graduated from Seymour High School, class of 1973. She married Greg Rose on May 5, 1979.

Connie worked for the Seymour Police Dept. from 1974 until 1998 as a dispatcher and secretary. Since 1998, she has worked at the Lutheran Community Home, serving as activity director, scheduler and HR.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she served on the Evangelism board. She was also a member of Kiwanis. Her hobbies include crafts, decorating, shopping and traveling, especially to Gatlinburg.

She will be remembered for being sentimental and her playfulness and playing pranks. She also loved her pets, Barron and Smokey and the Bandit.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Thomas Weasner.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Greg Rose, her son, Aaron (Breanna) Rose, sister, Linda Clark, stepmother, Pat Weasner, stepsister Theresa (David) Flint, and stepbrother, Greg (Jill) Prange as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, IN and one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. James Rodriguez, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.

Memorials may be given in Connie’s memory to the Jackson County Humane Society at Burkholder Chapel.
