Braves move to No. 5 in IFCA poll

The Class 3A Brownstown Central football team moved up to No. 5 in the latest Indiana Football Coaches Association poll.

They are one of three undefeated teams left in the top 10 in the class with No. 3 Heritage Hills and No. 10 West Noble.

The other top teams in each class according to the IFCA are: Avon (6A), New Palestine (5A), New Prairie (4A), Indianapolis Chatard (3A), Western Boone (2A) and Indianapolis Lutheran (A). 

Brownstown Central ends their regular season this Friday at Scottsburg. 

Cougars, Braves ranked highly in final volleyball polls

The Class A top-ranked Cougars will finish the regular season ranked No. 1. Trinity Lutheran will also finish the year ranked 24th overall in the state according to Indiana Prep Volleyball.

The Brownstown Central Braves end the year ranked 16th overall and No. 3 in Class 3A. Ahead of the Braves are Evansville Memorial and Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger.

New Castle (4A) and Barr-Reeve (2A) are the other two top-ranked teams in the state.
