Boys Tennis

Owls advance to regional final with 3-2 win over Greensburg

The Seymour boys tennis team gutted out a 3-2 win over Greensburg to move into today’s regional final against Columbus North.

Seymour earned wins at No. 1 singles and both doubles spots to advance to the next round. 

Vincent Camboulas cruised at his top singles position, winning 6-1, 6-2. The No. 1 doubles pair of Will Rinehard and Brandon Hubbard won 6-3, 6-4. 

At No. 2 doubles, the team of Trey Hohenstreiter and Andrew Levine won 6-3, 6-4.

Seymour will look to win their first ever regional title today at 6 p.m. against the Bulldogs. 

Volleyball

Seymour sweeps BNL for HHC win

It was quick night in the gym for the Owl volleyball team as they swept the BNL Stars 25-20, 25-12, 25-20.

Maggie Connell led the Owls with 10 kills, followed by Alisha Busby with five and Chloe Criswell with three.

Criswell had a team-high seven aces while Hayley Harpe and Lauren Knienem each had one.

Harpe led the Owls in the assists and digs departments with 19 and 30, respectively. 

Braves deliver coach Shade 600th win

It was another day a the office for the Brownstown Central volleyball team as they swept MSC rival North Harrison for the 25-6, 25-13, 25-7 victory.

The win gave Brownstown Central coach Jennifer Shade her 600th career win. 

Halle Hehman led the Braves with six aces while Riley Nuss and Keeli Darlage had three and two, respectively. 

Kendra McCory led the Braves with eight kills while Darlage and Kayla Guthrie each had seven.
