Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid 3 met Aug. 20 in the fellowship hall of the Seymour church.

Verses 1-2 of Hymn 507 were sung and Psalm 100 was read in unison.

The Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez gave an update of the Desks for Haiti program. The school started with 300 students and now has an enrollment of 675 for the 2019-20 school year. Therefore, more desks were needed to accommodate the increase in enrollment. The goal has been reached, and the desks are ordered. Any surplus will be used for school supplies.

The secretary and treasurer reports were given.

Fifth wedding anniversary gifts were given to Janis and Allen Mundt and Carlana and Glen Able.

Janis Mundt and Carol Hill reported on the shut-in visits in August.

Sandi Helwig reported that 90 of the 103 available spaces were reserved for the November craft show. Seventh- and eighth-graders and 4-H Junior Leaders will be available to assist the vendors loading and unloading.

Hostesses for August were Helen Nolting and Brenda Snyder. September was set to be an outing Sept. 17 to Huber’s Winery in Starlight.

The meeting closed with verses 3-4 of Hymn 507 and the Lord’s Prayer.
