COMMISKEY

Mr. Jerry Joe Nease, age 68, of Commiskey, Indiana entered this life on May 1, 1951 in Seymour, Indiana, the son of the late Dan and Alpha Johnson Nease. Joe resided all of his life near Paris Crossing and was a 1969 graduate of North Vernon High School.

He had farmed all of his life and had retired after a 30 year career with Pilot Industries (formerly Arvin Industries Plant) in North Vernon. Joe obtained his pilots license and enjoyed flying. Joe asked that when people remember him “Please Smile”.

He also liked spending time hunting and fishing. Joe died on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at 5:15 p.m. at his residence in Paris Crossing, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY

Joe will be missed by his loving wife of 22 years, Alice Marie Johnson Nease of Commiskey, Indiana; his step children, Greg Feltmann and his wife Shelley of Mayer, Arizona, Nettie Jo Birkmeyer and her husband, Todd of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Louis Feltmann and his wife, Chanille of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Anna Sue Houston and her husband, Terry of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; his eight grandchildren; his sister, Sinda Sergent and her husband, Willis of Paris Crossing, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Alpha Johnson Nease; his brother, Jim Nease; his sister, Jeanette Criss.

FUNERAL CEREMONY

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., by Pastor Skip Napier at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Coffee Creek Christian Cemetery near Paris Crossing.

VISITATION

Friends may visit Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
