Library board to conduct public hearing for ’20 budget

The Brownstown Public Library board of trustees will have a meeting to consider adoption of the 2020 budget at 5 p.m. Oct. 8 in the conference room of the library, 120 E. Spring St., Brownstown.

The budget estimate, submitted to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance on Aug. 23, is $614,350. It includes a general fund of $570,861, a rainy day fund of $14,489 and a library improvement reserve fund of $29,000.

The board’s regular monthly meeting, which includes review of cash flow and appropriation reports, will follow at 5:15 p.m. Other agenda items include discussion for approval of financial reports.

Board meetings are open to the public and press.
