Fall fish fry, chili supper set at conservation club

Tri-County Conservation Club members will conduct a fall fish fry and chili supper from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the club, 8705 E. County Road 800S, Austin.

The menu will feature fish sandwiches, chili, french fries, desserts and drinks. Call-in orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. by calling 812-820-3639.

Anyone wishing to set up for a yard sale or flea market may have access to the yard as long as they are a non-food vendor from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at no charge, although donations are always accepted.

Anyone wishing to set up the night before may contact Sandra Law at 812-793-2014 or Brian Karnes at 812-820-3496.

This also is the Crothersville community yard sale day.

This fish fry also will help members get some of the supplies needed to build a shelter house and ensure needs are being met for the nature’s environment and wildlife in the area. The club is looking to have feeders made and placed around the area. Anyone wanting to help contribute to these items may contact any of the officers to do so.

The last fish fry will be Nov. 2 instead of having the annual Thanksgiving pitch-in.

If you need directions, want to get your membership ranging from $5 to $15 or reserve the club for rental of $50 or have questions, contact Karnes at 812-820-3496 or Law at 812-793-2014.
