Eight couples will compete in this year’s Dancing with the Seymour Stars event Saturday.
In its seventh year, the competition raises money for Seymour Main Street and the Boys and Girls Club of Seymour.
Dancers are Janet Myers and her dog, Winnie; Chelsea Burrell and Scott Davis; Sarah Arnold and Drew Hunt; Matt Montgomery and Lindsey Montgomery; Katrina Hardwick and Brandon Millick; Brandon Hunsley and Myka Wetzel; Summer Schleibaum and Curt Schleibaum; and Marykate Helmsing and Matt Nieman.
Each couple will perform a dance routine, and people may donate $1 a vote for their favorite dancers. The pair who collects the most money will be the winners.

Dancers are raising money now, and votes can be cast online at seymourmainstreet.org.
There will be two performances Saturday at Celebrations, 357 Tanger Blvd., Suite 101, at Shops at Seymour. A matinee will be at 1 p.m. with doors opening at noon. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
Those attending the show will be able to vote using their checkbooks, credit cards or cash.
Tickets may be purchased at the Boys and Girls Club of Seymour, First Financial Bank and at seymourmainstreet.org.
The evening performance is already sold out and will be at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.
More than 500 people attended last year’s evening show, and another 300 bought tickets for the matinee. A total of $101,793, a record for the event, was raised.
All of the money from voting, ticket sales and sponsorships of the event goes to help fund operations, programs, events and special projects for Seymour Main Street and the Boys and Girls Club of Seymour.
The event has raised more than $541,000 in six years.
Last year’s winners were Bri Roll and Alex Cazares, who will give a special performance during this year’s intermission. Also performing will be Smalltown Realness, Pound Posse and Raices Folklore.
Other previous winners include Angie Mellencamp and Dr. Nate Otte in 2017, Becky Boas and Brad Boas in 2016, Tom Lewis, Elizabeth Copeland and Patti Terrell in 2015, Tom and Dana Bollinger in 2014 and Dr. Charlie Calhoun and Tammy Lewis in 2013.
