Jennings County Sheriff’s Department officers serving a parole warrant arrested two Elizabethtown residents Monday on drug-related charges.

The arrests of Charles Plumm, 43, and Kelly Williams, 30, occurred after Officer Craig Hahn stopped a vehicle driven by Plumm in the area of County Road 950N and State Road 7, according to a news release by Chief Deputy Dave Turner.

During a search of the vehicle, police said they found narcotics and paraphernalia.

Plumm and Williams both face preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a Legend Drug and visiting/maintaining a common nuisance. Both were booked into the Jennings County Jail in North Vernon. Plumm also was arrested on the parole warrant.

The incident that led to the traffic stop and arrests began when police received information Monday that Plumm was at his home on County Road 800N in Jennings County, Turner said.

When officers prepared to serve the warrant, they learned Plumm had left his home and was traveling east on County Road 800N. That’s where Hahn located the vehicle and stopped it.
