Seymour Tri Kappa is sponsoring a Tri Kappa Run Now, Wine Later 5K event Oct. 19 beginning and ending at Steam Cliff Winery, 8225 S. County Road 90W, Commiskey.

The preregistration cost is $30 and closes at 11 p.m. Oct. 17. Registration the day of the event is $35.

All participants and finishers will receive a unique finisher’s medal, full menu wine tasting and entry to the Christmas at the Farm Old Barn Market and BBQ at Stream Cliff Winery.

Race shirts are guaranteed to those who register by Oct. 5. After that date, shirts will be given on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

The fun run/walk begins at 9:30 a.m. There will be live music with Erik Brunner from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Ben Thompson from 1 to 4 p.m.

If you are joining on event day but not participating in the run/walk, you can purchase a shirt for $10 if registered by Oct. 5. Shirts will be available for pickup on event day.

This is a family-friendly event for all ages and abilities.
