CROTHERSVILLE

Scott Eric Lutes, age 40, of Crothersville, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at his residence.

Scott was a member of Tampico Christian Church, and graduated from Brownstown Central High School in 1997.

God gained an angel when he called Scott home. Scott had a sweet soul and would do anything for anybody. He was loved by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his friends, fishing, reading, music, reptiles, riding four-wheelers, and riding mules.

Born on November 9, 1978, in Salem, he was the son of Gerald Lutes, who survives in Brownstown, and Lewann Weidig Lutes (Richard) Burrell, who survives in Brownstown.

Survivors also include three brothers: Kyle (Heather) Lutes of Brownstown, John Lutes of Columbus, and Jordan Lutes of Columbus; two sisters: Brandi Brelage, and Kelli Williams, both of Brownstown; nieces and nephews: Emma Brelage, Cole Brelage, Claire Brelage, Waylon Lutes, Wyatt Lutes, Logan Williams, Macy Williams, and Evan Williams; aunt, Nancy Hawkins; and uncle, Jack Cooper.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis and Betty Weidig; grandparents, Edgar and Emma Lutes; Donald Hawkins, John Lutes, and Grover and Delores Hawkins.

Funeral services for Scott Eric Lutes will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Randy King officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.

Memorials may be given to Brownstown First Baptist Church, or Tampico Christian Church.
